We are supporting Live UTI Free with the Bladder biome Project. The study aims to contribute to improving our understanding of recurrent UTI, with the ultimate goal of helping to change the ways in which recurrent UTI is diagnosed and treated.

We are also working with Live UTI Free on The Global UTI Project. The Global UTI Project is the largest scale study of its kind ever to be undertaken with the goal of capturing patient experiences from all over the world, and demonstrating the widespread nature of the problem.

The MicroplateDX Study

We are working with Live UTI Free to ensure the patient perspective is central to research development. Alongside MicroplateDX’s development of a new susceptibility test for UTI, a Patient Advisory Group and focus groups ​​are being established to incorporate the experiences and insights of individuals affected by UTIs.

Our Patient Reported Outcome Measures are now licensed for Research and Commercial Use

We have published two critical Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) for assessing how people living with recurrent Urinary Tract Infection report their symptoms and the impact of their condition on their Quality of Life. Grant Win: Developing A Recurrent Urinary Tract Infection Diary

We have won a research grant from the collaborative Health Innovation Partnership between the University of Reading and the Royal Berkshire Hospital. We will be working on developing a diary assessment measure for patients and clinicians to monitor recurrent UTI (rUTI) symptoms and quality of life.

At the Behaviour Change and Health Sustainability Conference 2025, Adam Madhani will present research on improving shared decision-making in regional anaesthesia. Using the Behaviour Change Intervention Ontology (BCIO), he identifies key techniques to enhance patient knowledge, confidence and informed choice- laying the groundwork for a targeted intervention yo boost uptake and outcomes.
